Hi, I'm Marieke
I started Marieke Mollitt Consultancy in 2020, when it finally felt like the right time to go freelance - a leap of faith that's one of the best decisions I've ever made! After establishing MMC, I've worked on several exciting, new projects with a range of clients, the main focus being a sector I know inside-out - higher education, where I have advised universities and collaborated in amazing ways.
My Story
I graduated with a BA in Culture, Media and Communication from Lancaster University in 2004 and since have worked in a variety of marketing, communications and management roles before starting MMC.
Perhaps most significantly I am part of Waterfall Higher Education marketing agency, collaborating on university cutting-edge, multi-channel campaigns. Outside of this, I have diversified by working on amazing projects with companies including AtkinsRealis, Georgia Johnson Fitness, Property Hub magazine, Bond Baby Massage and Cirrus.
Types of work have covered strategy and marketing plan creation, project management of significant marketing campaigns, copywriting, proofing, content creation, script writing, production, and interviewing subjects resulting in a post-write up for publication. Whatever the piece, it is always my aim to serve the audience - to inform in a clear way, but also to create emotive, different and memorable content.
A large part of my previous experience was at The University of Manchester, where I worked for 11 years; I loved every minute. I led recruitment marketing and campaigns, where the team won awards, thrived and were part of creating and establishing a world-leading brand.
